Welcome to the new WIL mentoring scheme.
This has been launched in response to 45% of you telling us in our survey that the thing you would most like to get out of our network is the opportunity for a mentoring relationship.
The group was formed with the aim to help increase the number of women in the sector, improve life for those women already working in logistics (and therefore retain their talents) and to address the gender imbalance issue. Our objectives include providing networking events for members to attend, offering support and mentoring for younger professionals, providing advice and encouragement to those entering the industry and providing personal development and support for members through planned activities. Most importantly we also have a great time, as our members will testify.
The objectives of our scheme are to:- offer WIL members the opportunity to be involved in a mentoring relationship with another WIL member
- connect members with less experience in the sector with those with more experience
- enable the sharing of ideas, knowledge, skills and experience for the benefit of participating members
- identify senior role models within the sector
If you are interested in becoming a mentor or a mentee in our scheme please read the Guide to the Mentoring Scheme, and if you would like to apply to join the scheme complete the Mentoring Application Form and the Mentoring Survey.
If you would like to discuss any aspect of the scheme please contact Pam Jackson.
